POETRY SUBMISSION - Jellyfish by Henry Evans

They float
With the current
Without intention
When I am swimming
As I always am.
No intention
To meet them there
In the darkness
But there is always
 That black chance.
In the eon fathoms
Ever swirling ebbs
And swashes
The spiralling depths
Of my abyss
I meet one
As I flow
And float
And its tendrils
Envelope me
Draw me close
A jolt of memory
A sting of foreboding
Then released
To swim again.
Not all are poisonous
But all are terrible
Bad memories
Dark thoughts
The jellyfish of my mind.
