Case 39 follows social worker Emily (Renee Zellweger) as she battles to remove a neglected child from her parents care. The beginning of the film is full of suspense and had me holding onto the edge of my seat, in fear of the little girls safety.
Emily believes the girl (Ferland, plays Bree Tanner in Eclipse) should be placed in her care, as it would be more beneficial than staying in a children's home. Although, it does not take long before strange events begin to happen.
Overall, I thought the ending was a let down, it fails the intense and intriguing story line. There is no discovery, like in those of a similar genre.
I'd give this film 5/10.
If you like the grudge and the ring this is a film for you.
